  LET'S LEARN NEW ROOTS: Greek iso- (equal) Greek theros(summer) In a spelling bee if you can/want to ask a root you have to say the root, tell its definition, and also state its language of origin. Word Lovers Blog: How to Search Up Dessert Words[Plz check my delicious Dessert Word List in this blog!!!]

  First, create a Merriam-Webster Unabridged account.  Next, go to the advanced search.  Lastly, leave EVERY SINGLE question in the advanced search blank EXCEPT the definition as shown here.  (Note: My screen does not show ALL the questions. Don't get confused.) Now you'll get all the dessert words! (Plus dessert wines too, there is no make it not show dessert wines[PS- if you can plz tell me in the comments]) I hope this was informative and helpful for all users! Use this same process for finding ALL types of words using their DEFINITION only! :D

Word Lovers Blog: [REALLY HARD] Duiker/Duyker(An Antelope), WORD OF THE DAY, JULY 2ND

 Hi guys! Here's a real challenge!  Your word is: duiker, which also has an alternate spelling of 'duyker'.  Duiker is an antelope.  Unlike its spelling it is pronounced dīker(The e in this case is pronounced like a schwa, the schwa sound is like the sound of the 'a' in banana.) or you can pronounced the first part with a long a instead of a long i.  WORD OF THE DAY:  bad der lo cks Badderlocks is a seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe. It is of unknown origin. Here is a story featuring Orangey & her friends:  Orangey stared at her digital Word of the Day app. 'Badderlocks,' she noted on her sparkly magenta notebook. 'A seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe' Later in class, her substitute teacher in history asked the class, 'Name one seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe." Orangey immediately raised her hand. "I have the answer, Mrs. Montana. Badderlocks!" The rest of the class stared at Orangey, confused. "Impressive, Madame Orangey," Mrs. Montana replied.
