First, create a Merriam-Webster Unabridged account. 

Next, go to the advanced search. 

Lastly, leave EVERY SINGLE question in the advanced search blank EXCEPT the definition as shown here. 

(Note: My screen does not show ALL the questions. Don't get confused.) Now you'll get all the dessert words! (Plus dessert wines too, there is no make it not show dessert wines[PS- if you can plz tell me in the comments])

Hi there! Let's learn some roots! Today's Root of The Day is DOLICH-/DOLICHO-  Dolich-/Dolicho- is a Greek root that simply means long/narrow. [Pronounced: dah-li-koh] Here are a few example words: Dolichoid[dah-li-koid] is an adjective that means tending to be long or narrow.  Example: Izzy's delicious banana was dolichoid . (Note: Latin -oid means resembling) Dolichuric[dah-luh-kyur-ik) is an adjective that means having a redundant(exceeding what is normal) syllable. Example:  Sometimes, when you sing a song, you might accidentally add an extra sound to a word, making it a little dolichuric , like singing "tee-hee-hee" instead of just "tee-hee."
