Word Lovers Blog: July 1st, WORD OF THE DAY[story edition, sry for not posting]
WORD OF THE DAY:
badderlocks
Badderlocks is a seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe.
It is of unknown origin.
Here is a story featuring Orangey & her friends:
Orangey stared at her digital Word of the Day app. 'Badderlocks,' she noted on her sparkly magenta notebook. 'A seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe'
Later in class, her substitute teacher in history asked the class, 'Name one seaweed eaten as a vegetable in Europe." Orangey immediately raised her hand. "I have the answer, Mrs. Montana. Badderlocks!" The rest of the class stared at Orangey, confused. "Impressive, Madame Orangey," Mrs. Montana replied. "It is of unknown origin," Savory, one of Orangey's best friends added as she read a dictionary entry about the word.
THANKS FOR READING! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT AND LEARNED A NEW WORD! UNTIL NEXT TIME! (PS-If you are a lexicologist, please add the word 'kawaii' to the dictionary. It is Japanese for cute. Thank you!)
